Incredibly sad to see so many writers friend zone themselves. That's one reason I had for turning paid subscriptions on that I didn't mention in today's newsletter... It sets the tone from day one. It's the "define the relationship" equivalent haha.

Some creators think that free content is the only way to grow. But selling your expertise will give your audience more tools and improve their lives. It also makes sense to monetize so you can spend even more time creating both free and paid content.

Great article, man! I loved that friendzone concept. Selling to friends could be considered a benefit, then they are more likely to use your product to better themselves.

We have no problem asking employers for money we may not enjoy, yet shy to ask for money to do the things we love.
