Stop Asking AI to Write Your Emails. Start Asking It to Build Your Empire.
You're Not Using AI Wrong. You're Just Playing in the Shallow End
4 months ago, I sat staring at a blank page for the 23rd Tuesday in a row.
I had to publish a newsletter.
Three times per week. To 1,500 people expecting business tips.
And I had nothing.
No idea what to write.
No outline.
No angle.
So I did what everyone does.
I opened Claude.
“Give me 10 newsletter ideas about business systems.”
Got a list.
Picked one.
Closed the tab.
Next Tuesday?
Same routine.
Blank page.
Panic.
Prompt AI.
Get list.
Pick one.
I was using a Ferrari to drive to the lumber yard.
Don’t get me wrong, I’d drive a Ferrari to the lumber yard any day, it’s just not always the right tool for the job.
The Thing Nobody Tells You About AI
You think the problem is learning the right prompts.
Better questions.
Smarter frameworks.
More detailed instructions.
That’s not the problem.
THE PROBLEM IS YOU’RE STUCK IN PROMPT MODE.
You’re asking AI to do individual tasks instead of building systems that multiply your capacity.
And I know this because I was you nine months ago.
The Three Levels of AI Thinking (And Where You’re Stuck)
Most people never leave Level 1. They use AI their entire lives and never realize there are two more levels that actually matter.
Let me show you where you are. And where operators actually live.
LEVEL 1: Prompt Mode (Where Everyone Gets Stuck)
This is where I started.
Every interaction is isolated. Every request starts from zero.
“Research this topic.”
“Summarize this document.”
“Give me 10 content ideas.”
You get your output.
You close the tab.
You use it.
Tomorrow you do it again.
What this looks like in real life:
Tuesday morning.
Need newsletter topic.
Ask AI for ideas.
Get 10 options.
Pick one.
Ask AI to help research and outline.
Write newsletter.
Publish.
Next Tuesday, well it’s the same shit, just read the two paragraphs above.
You saved maybe 15 minutes per week.
But you’re rebuilding the same wheel every single time.
The telltale sign you’re stuck here:
You close the AI chat after getting your answer.
Because there’s nothing to save.
No context to preserve.
No system being built.
Just isolated transactions trading your time for AI output.
That’s not leverage.
That’s assistance.
LEVEL 2: System Mode (Where Operators Live)
This is where everything changed for me.
I stopped asking AI to give me ideas.
I started asking AI to help me build the system that generates ideas.
The shift:
Prompt Mode: “Give me 10 newsletter topics”
System Mode: “Analyze every newsletter I’ve published in the last 6 months. What patterns do my subscribers engage with most? What frameworks do I return to repeatedly? What questions show up in replies? Now build me a validated topic bank with 50 ideas organized by theme, each one proven to resonate with my audience.”
That took 30 minutes to set up.
Now I have 50 validated topics.
I never stare at a blank page again.
Here’s what changed:
I stopped asking for output.
I started building infrastructure.
Infrastructure that runs whether I’m working or not.
Infrastructure that compounds. Infrastructure that turns my 20 years of intelligence experience into systems anyone can follow.
More examples of the shift:
Prompt Mode: “Help me research this newsletter topic”
System Mode: “Analyze my last 200 client emails. Identify the 5 response patterns. Build templates that match my voice. Create the decision tree for when to use each one. Now I never write the same email twice.”
Prompt Mode: “Help me prep for this sales call”
System Mode: “Review transcripts from my last 30 sales calls. Extract what converts vs what doesn’t. Build the qualification framework. Create the objection response library. Now prep me for this specific call using our proven approach.”
Prompt Mode: “Help me outline this newsletter”
System Mode: “Build me a research system. When I give you a topic, automatically pull relevant data from my knowledge base, cross-reference with current trends, identify the unique angle based on my intelligence background, outline the key points using my proven frameworks. Now research this topic.”
The difference:
In Prompt Mode, you trade time for output.
In System Mode, you invest time once and get leverage forever.
Every system you build saves you hours every single week.
After six months? I had 12 systems running.
Tasks that used to take 20 hours now take 3 hours.
I didn’t get faster at the work. I stopped doing the work manually.
LEVEL 3: Multiplier Mode (Only if you can handle it)
This is where most people never get.
Because they’re too busy stuck in Prompt Mode to see what’s possible.
Level 3 isn’t about building systems for yourself.
It’s about building systems that CREATE UNFAIR ADVANTAGES.
The questions shift completely:
Prompt Mode: “Help me with this task”
System Mode: “Build me a system for this workflow”
Multiplier Mode: “What advantage can I build that compounds for the next 18 months?”
Real examples from my business:
Prompt Mode thinking: “AI, help me research and outline this newsletter”
System Mode thinking: “AI, build me a content system that produces newsletter outlines without starting from scratch every time”
Multiplier Mode thinking: “AI, turn my entire operator thinking framework into a teachable system. Then help me package it into a product that scales my expertise without scaling my hours. Then identify the next five adjacent systems I should build that leverage this foundation.”
Here’s what that looks like:
I don’t just have a topic bank anymore.
I have a complete content engine.
Topics validated by subscriber behavior.
Research system that pulls from my knowledge base.
Frameworks extracted from 20 years of intelligence work.
Outline templates that match my structure.
Distribution systems across three platforms.
The entire machine runs.
I show up. I write. The systems handle everything else.
But here’s the real multiplier:
Those systems became products.
The client onboarding system? Now it’s an implementation pack.
The email management framework? Now it’s part of the paid newsletter.
The complete operator thinking approach? That’s the Done-For-You Operator OS at $5,000.
EVERY SYSTEM I BUILD FOR MYSELF BECOMES LEVERAGE I CAN SELL.
That’s Multiplier Mode.
You’re not just working smarter. You’re building assets that compound.
The Question That Changes Everything
Here’s what separates people stuck in Prompt Mode from operators building in Multiplier Mode:
“Am I asking AI to do the work, or am I asking AI to multiply my brainpower?”
Do the work = Prompt Mode
Multiply brainpower = System Mode and beyond
Most people never ask this question.
They stay stuck asking AI to research topics, summarize documents, generate ideas.
They use AI their entire lives and never realize they’re leaving 90% of the value on the table.
What This Actually Costs You
Let me be direct about something:
If you’re still in Prompt Mode six months from now, you’re going to get left behind.
Not because you’re not smart. Not because you’re not working hard.
Because the operators building systems TODAY will have 10x the capacity in 18 months.
They’ll serve more clients with less effort.
They’ll create more content with less time.
They’ll build more businesses with less stress.
And you’ll still be asking AI for 10 content ideas every Tuesday morning.
THE GAP COMPOUNDS.
Every system they build saves them hours.
Every hour saved gets invested in building more systems.
Every system becomes a product they can sell.
Meanwhile, you’re stuck in the same prompt loop, getting the same assistance, wondering why you’re not scaling.
That’s the real cost of staying in Prompt Mode.
Not what you’re doing wrong today.
What you WON’T be able to do 18 months from now.
Start Here
You can’t jump straight to Multiplier Mode.
Nobody does.
But you CAN take the first step today.
Pick one thing you do repeatedly.
For most people, it’s:
Newsletter topic selection
Email responses
Content creation
Meeting prep
Client onboarding
Cold DMs
Lead generation
Ask AI a different question:
Not: “Help me with this task”
Ask: “Help me build a system that eliminates this task forever”
Give AI the context:
“Analyze the last 50 times I did this. What patterns exist? What can be templated? What decisions can be automated? Build me the system.”
That’s your first tiny system.
It’ll take 30 minutes to build.
It’ll save you 2 hours this week.
4 hours next week.
8 hours the week after.
Because systems compound.
Where This Goes Next
This newsletter gave you the framework.
The three levels.
The transformation path.
The first step.
But frameworks without implementation are just theory.
Here’s what paid subscribers get:
Every system I build in real-time as I document it.
The actual prompts. The exact structures. The refinement process.
Everything I’m using to run a newsletter + multiple businesses while working a day job.
$15/month. Founding rate locked forever.

P.S. The transformation from Prompt Mode to Multiplier Mode took me 9 months.
But I was figuring it out alone. Trial and error. Building systems, breaking them, rebuilding them.
You don’t have to take 9 months.
You can follow the exact path I took. The systems I built. The frameworks that actually work.
That’s what’s inside the paid newsletter.
Not theory. The actual implementation roadmap.
